How to use Excels ‘OPC’ menu option to enable Excel to access real-time data for reports, trending, and analysis.
- In Excel, select ‘OPC’ on the top ribbon
- Select ‘Realtime Data’
- Select the items you need in OPC Expert, and drag and drop them into Excel
- Select the attributes you want to include, and how you want the data to be displayed. Users can make their own configuration manually
- Data will begin filling in from left to right. This is realtime data taken from OPC Expert
- Select the data you wish to trend, and select ‘Insert’
- Depending on your needs, different charts can be used. Explore the different options to find the configuration that is right for you.
- Data is continuously updated from OPC Expert, enabling you to view historical data without a historian, track trends, and more!
